Maha Jazem Ali graduated from the National College of Arts (NCA) with a Bachelors in Architecture. Her thesis project concentrated on amalgamating fantasy and play to create an amusement park. The project focused on creating a series of spaces that may be used and interpreted differently at each time of use. She brings such playful sensibilities to her everyday work and life with family and friends.
Maha works in the Open Door Design Workshop where she is found playing with various forms and ideas. Currently she is working on research on paper mache, and reimaginig the use of waste wood and plastic bottles with Shehrebano Nooruddin. She can also be found designing jungle gyms and bunk beds for children.
