The shorter side of the school abuts a 100-foot-wide road, which became the primary generator for the design: an urban amphitheatre — a building that rises from the road through a terraced play-scape, letting activities and co-curricular functions bleed into the landscape and remain visible from the street. Terraces provide an outdoor play area for every floor, while classrooms are clustered around a quiet court at the back — allowing the scale of the residential neighbourhood to gradually merge into an institution.
